Web developers in Atlanta are not hard to find. What is hard to find is one who talks to a business of one: a barber, a caterer, a mobile detailer, a tax preparer with a client list and a phone. Most of the web design companies in Atlanta show case studies for firms with staff and budgets, and their prices sit behind a discovery call. Dominion Web Design Pro is an Atlanta web design option built the other way around: prices printed, a free demo before you pay, every page written by hand, and the site yours to keep.
Dominion Web Design Pro is a Black-owned business. Maurice Johnson owns it, and he is the person who writes and builds each site, from Big Sandy in East Texas. We work with Atlanta businesses remotely and will not pretend to have an Atlanta address. What we can offer is a straight price and a real site you can look at first.
Web design in Atlanta, GA starts with who actually owns the businesses
Metro Atlanta is big and still growing. The Atlanta Regional Commission estimated 5,339,164 people in its 11-county region in April 2026, after adding 53,690 residents in a year. Inside that region sits one of the country's largest concentrations of Black business ownership. LendingTree has ranked metro Atlanta first for its share of Black-owned businesses four years running, among the 100 metros with the most Black-owned businesses. In its latest study, which uses 2023 Census data, 10.7% of the metro's businesses with employees are Black-owned, against 3.4% nationally. Fayetteville, North Carolina and Washington, D.C. came next.
Those figures count businesses with payroll. Behind them are many more one-person operations: barbers in the West End, caterers working out of a shared kitchen, braiders, personal trainers in Midtown, mobile mechanics who work the I-285 loop. The Atlanta Wealth Building Initiative has reported a wide gap in what these businesses are worth: the average Black-owned business in Atlanta valued at about $58,085, against $658,264 for the average white-owned one. A business at that scale cannot carry a five-figure website and a monthly retainer, so the agencies never call. That is a pricing problem, not a quality problem.

What web developers in Atlanta should tell you first: the price
Most Atlanta web design companies will not publish a price. Sometimes that is fair for a large custom build, but for a one-person business every inquiry starts to feel like a trap. Here are ours.
Starter
$497 one-time
For a business that needs a clean, working website and nothing complicated.
- 5-page website: home, services, about, contact and service area
- Every page written for your business by hand, never filled into a template
- Works on phones, tablets and desktop
- Contact form that emails you every lead
- Page titles, descriptions and sitemap submitted to Google
- Google Maps and your hours on the page
- Links to your Facebook and Instagram
- Live in 7 to 14 days
- You own it outright
Pro Most Popular
$997 one-time
For a business that wants the website to bring in calls from more than one town.
- Everything in Starter, plus:
- 10-page website with a photo gallery
- Lead capture on every page, not only the contact page
- Local SEO: schema markup and Google Business Profile setup
- 10 city pages, each town researched, then written from scratch
- Your Google reviews displayed on the site
- AI chat widget that answers visitors 24/7 and takes their name and number: free for 14 days, then $297/mo
Agency
$1,997 one-time
For a business that wants to cover its whole service area, town by town.
- Everything in Pro, plus:
- Keyword research across your whole service area first
- A hand-written page for every town-and-service combination the research says is worth having, usually 30 to 60 pages
- Pages delivered in waves, the first ones live inside two weeks
- Custom design for your brand
- AI phone agent setup. The agent itself is free for 7 days, then $297/mo for up to 750 minutes, cancel any time (not part of the one-time price)
Hosting, maintenance and updates are included while you keep the AI agent. Without it, they are $49/mo.
We do not sell page counts. Every page on every plan is researched and written by hand for your business and your town. That is slower than generating a few hundred pages from a template, and it is the reason these pages get read. If the research says your service area needs thirty pages, you get thirty good ones rather than a hundred thin ones.
In plain words: Starter is $497 for five pages. Pro is $997 for ten pages, local SEO setup, your Google reviews on the site and ten city pages, so a caterer could have pages for Decatur, East Point or Marietta; its AI chat widget is free for 14 days and then $297 a month. Agency is $1,997 for keyword research across your area and a page for each worthwhile town and service, plus setup of an AI phone agent that is free for 7 days and then $297 a month for up to 750 minutes. If a number does not work for you, you have lost thirty seconds instead of a week of calls.
Atlanta's business corridors, and what each one asks of a website
Atlanta has a long record of neighborhood commerce. Auburn Avenue, the heart of the Sweet Auburn district just east of downtown, was the economic center of Black Atlanta for most of the twentieth century; in 1956 Fortune magazine called it "the richest Negro street in the world." The district was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1976. A business street depends on being found, and today people look first on a phone.
The newer corridors work the same way. The Atlanta BeltLine is planned as a 22-mile loop through 45 neighborhoods. Its Eastside Trail, lined with restaurants and Ponce City Market, runs past Old Fourth Ward and Virginia-Highland, and the Westside Trail reaches historic neighborhoods such as the West End. The visitor who walked past a shop on Saturday still searches its name on Monday.
On the south and west sides, Invest Atlanta's Small Business Improvement Grant program has offered tenants and commercial property owners up to $50,000 for building improvements in seven of the city's tax allocation districts, including Campbellton Road, Hollowell-ML King and Metropolitan Parkway. The Invest Atlanta board approves the grants in rounds, so check with Invest Atlanta for when applications are open.

The kinds of Atlanta businesses a website helps most
Food comes first: restaurants, catering, bakeries and food trucks from Old Fourth Ward to the Westside. Plenty of them run on an Instagram account and a phone number in a bio link. That works until a customer types "catering near me" into Google and finds someone else. Keep the social accounts, and give customers one link you own.
Health and personal care is just as large. LendingTree's study found that 26.2% of Black-owned businesses nationwide were in health care and social assistance in 2023: home care agencies, therapists, child care providers, medical billing. Those owners sell trust, and a prospective client checks the site before calling.
Service trades round it out. A plumber in Southwest Atlanta or a cleaning company covering Buckhead and Sandy Springs is searched by job and neighborhood. One page per service, the areas covered and a tap-to-call number at the top answer those searches in a way a social profile cannot.
Why local search decides who gets the call
Google says its local results rest mainly on three things: relevance, meaning how well a business matches the search; distance from the person searching; and prominence, meaning how well known the business is, drawing on links, articles, directories and reviews. Google also says a business's position in its regular web results counts toward prominence, which is why search engine basics still apply to local businesses.
In a metro of more than five million people, relevance is the factor a small business can most directly control. An Atlanta web designer who writes a real page for each service you offer and each area you cover gives Google something specific to match. That is the reasoning behind SEO web design and behind the city pages in our Pro and Agency packages. Nobody can promise you a ranking, and we will not; what we can do is make your site clearly about what you do and where you do it.
What every Atlanta site we build includes
- Built for phones first, because that is where most people looking for you are.
- A tap-to-call number in the header, not hidden in the footer.
- A contact form that emails every lead to you.
- Page titles, descriptions and a sitemap submitted to Google.
- Real words about your business, written from a conversation with you.
- Ownership: the finished site is yours, not leased back to you.
How to judge Atlanta web designers, us included
Search for a top Atlanta web design company and you get pages of lists, awards and ads. None of them tells you whether a given designer fits a business your size. These four questions do, and they work on every Atlanta web designer you talk to.
| Ask this | Why it matters | Our answer |
|---|---|---|
| What does it cost, in dollars? | A price you cannot see is a price you cannot plan around. | $497, $997 or $1,997, one time, printed above. |
| Who owns the site and the domain? | Some builders lease a site that disappears when you stop paying. | You own the finished site outright once it is paid for. |
| What does a change cost in six months? | The build price alone tells you little about year two. | Upkeep is included while you keep the AI agent, or $49 a month without it. |
| Can I see work for a business my size? | Agency case studies for large firms do not show what you would get. | The free demo is built for your own business name and trade. |
If another Atlanta web design company answers all four better, hire them.
Four reasons an Atlanta business would hire Dominion Web Design Pro
The price is public
No discovery call stands between you and the number. You can tell in a minute whether we are in your range.
The demo comes before the invoice
You see a site built for your business name and trade first, with no deposit, and decide after looking at it on your phone.
One owner, start to finish
The person who owns the business writes your pages. A one-chair barbershop gets the same attention a much bigger account would.
Black-owned, and plain about it
For owners who want to spend with a Black-owned business, Maurice Johnson owns this one. It is a fact about who you are hiring, not a sales line.
We are not in Atlanta, and here is why that is fine
Straight answer on location: Dominion Web Design Pro has no office in Atlanta. Maurice Johnson builds every site from Big Sandy in East Texas and delivers it remotely, by link, phone and email.
A website is not poured concrete. Nobody needs to stand in your parking lot to build one. What has to happen is a conversation about what your business does, who calls you and what you want the site to make happen, and that conversation works the same on the phone from Buckhead as it does across a desk.
We will not claim to know your market better than you do. A barber in the West End knows his block; the job is to turn that knowledge into a site that gets found. If you want someone at your marketing meeting in person, hire locally. That is a fair reason to choose someone else.
Call (903) 636-7511 any hour. An AI receptionist answers and transfers you to Maurice Johnson when you ask about a website preview or ask for him.
