Savannah website design for owners who want the price and the pages in writing

Savannah has no shortage of people who can design a website. What we add is a printed price, every page written for you, and a demo to look at before you spend anything.

Or call (903) 636-7511. Our AI receptionist answers any hour and can put you through to Maurice.

Savannah website design is an odd thing to sell in Savannah. This is a city where an art and design college fills the historic district with students, where galleries share blocks with coffee shops, and where half the owners you meet have a friend who "does websites." So we will not pretend design talent is scarce here. It is not.

What can be scarce is a price you know before you start, words written for your business, and someone who will still answer when something breaks next spring. Dominion Web Design Pro is Maurice Johnson, working from East Texas. He shows you a free demo first, and the packages cost $497, $997 or $1,997, paid once.

Savannah website design when the town is full of designers

The Savannah College of Art and Design, known to everyone as SCAD, told WTOC that more than 15,000 students were enrolled when fall classes began in September 2025, with over 6,000 of them moving into residence halls that weekend. SCAD also runs an Atlanta campus, so not all of those students are in Savannah, but the effect on the city is easy to see. Graphic designers, illustrators, photographers and interactive design students are all around you.

For an owner, that is good news. You can hire young talent locally, and some of it is excellent. The trouble is rarely the design. It is everything around it: who writes the service descriptions, who sets up the page titles and sitemap so Google can read them, who hosts the site, and what happens when your designer graduates and moves to New York.

Neither column is wrong. A boutique that wants an art piece of a website may be happier with a local designer it can sit with. A plumber in Pooler who wants calls, not a portfolio, may be happier with a fixed package and someone else doing the writing.

One roofer, two routes to a website

Two roofers replacing shingles on a sloped roof with trees and buildings in the background on a sunny day

Picture a two-truck roofing outfit on the west side of Chatham County. A summer storm sends a wave of calls, and the owner decides it is finally time for a real site. A cousin's friend from design school offers to make one for a reasonable rate.

The site comes back handsome. But the owner has to write every page, the contact form goes to an email nobody checks, and a year later the designer has moved and the hosting bill lands on a card that expired.

Route two: the owner asks us for a demo, reads pages written about roof repair, storm damage and the towns the crew covers, and pays a set price only after liking what is there. The form sends each lead to the owner's email, and hosting is handled.

The squares, Starland and the names locals use

James Oglethorpe laid out Savannah's first four squares in 1733, and each new ward was built around one. Twenty-two of the original 24 squares survive, and the historic district became a National Historic Landmark District in 1966. Residents still give directions by them, which matters for a website: "two blocks off Chippewa Square" means more to a local than a street number.

South of the old city, the Starland District along Bull Street, roughly between Anderson Street and Victory Drive, has filled with independent shops, cafes and galleries. Its revival is usually traced to around 2000, when two SCAD students bought an empty dairy building on Bull Street.

Beyond the city line, customers say Pooler, Richmond Hill, Tybee Island or the Southside rather than "Savannah." The city itself had about 147,700 residents in the Census Bureau's 2023 estimate, while the metro area counted more than 400,000 people in the 2020 Census, so most of the market lives outside downtown.

Google says local results depend on relevance, distance and prominence. A page that truthfully names the areas you cover helps with the first two. Reviews and mentions around the web build the third over time.

Web design Savannah Georgia businesses need as the port and the plant grow

Tourism is the part of the economy everyone sees. The city estimated 12.9 million visitors in 2024, who spent about $4.1 billion, according to a 2026 City Council agenda item citing Visit Savannah. Restaurants, tour operators, inns and shops depend on being found on a phone by people who have never walked the street before.

The other part runs on trucks. The Port of Savannah handled 5.67 million twenty-foot equivalent units of containers in the fiscal year that ended June 30, 2026, just under the 5.7 million of the year before. Then there is the Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America in Bryan County, which began building its first electric vehicles in October 2024 and held its grand opening in March 2025. In September 2025 Hyundai announced an expansion toward 500,000 vehicles a year by 2028, with 3,000 more workers, part of the roughly 8,500 jobs it has said the campus will eventually hold.

All of that means suppliers: electricians, welders, HVAC crews, cleaning companies, staffing agencies, food trucks that park by job sites, landlords renting to new workers. A purchasing manager at a warehouse or plant contractor will check your site before calling. They want to see what you do, the counties you cover, any safety or licensing details you can honestly list, and a phone number that gets answered. That kind of business-to-business site is less about style and more about clear, complete pages.

Common questions

How much does Savannah website design cost for a small business?

Freelance rates in town swing a lot with experience, and agency quotes usually come after a meeting. Ours are posted: Starter is $497 for five pages, Pro is $997 for ten pages plus ten researched city pages, and Agency is $1,997 for a page per town and service your keyword research supports. Each is paid once. Hosting, maintenance and updates are $49 a month, or included while you keep the AI agent.

Should I hire a SCAD student or graduate instead of a web design company?

Maybe. A talented student or recent graduate can produce beautiful work, and many charge less than a firm. Before you agree, settle three things in writing: who writes the words on each page, who hosts the site and fixes it next year, and who owns the domain and files. If those answers are solid, go for it. If you would rather have one fixed price that covers all three, that is what we sell.

Can a Savannah website include pages for Pooler, Richmond Hill or Tybee Island?

Yes, if you really serve those places. The Pro package includes ten city pages, and each one is researched and written about that town rather than copied with the name swapped. Agency starts with keyword research across your whole service area, so the research decides which towns and services get their own page.

Do I need web design in Savannah, Georgia if most of my customers are visitors?

Visitors are the people most likely to find you on a phone before they find you on the sidewalk. They search for what is open, what is close and what other people say, often from a hotel room the night before. A fast page with hours, a map, a phone number and a plain description of what you offer gives them a reason to pick you over the shop next door.

How do you work with a Savannah business if you are in Texas?

By phone, email and links. You send what you know about your business, Maurice writes and builds a demo, and you review it on your own screen. You approve every page before it goes live. Call (903) 636-7511 any time; an AI receptionist answers and can put you through to Maurice.
