The web design process, from free demo to launch day

You see your site before you pay. Then Maurice gathers what he needs, writes every page by hand, and puts it live on your domain. Here is each step, and what is expected of you.

Or call (903) 636-7511. Our AI receptionist answers any hour and can put you through to Maurice.

A web design process that starts with your site, not an invoice

The usual web design process goes deposit, contract, a few weeks of quiet, then a reveal you are too far in to argue with. Ours runs the other direction. You see a demo of your website first. If it looks like your business, you pick a package. If it does not, you have lost a minute.

From there, one person does the work. Maurice Johnson writes the pages, builds the site and launches it, and he is the person you can reach when you have a question. Below is every step, what it costs (most cost nothing), and what he will need from you.

The short version

The first two steps are free, and you can stop after either one.

  1. Ask for the demoGive your business name and what you do on the demo page, or call (903) 636-7511.
  2. Look at it on your phoneYou get a link to a site built for your business. Show it to whoever you show things to.
  3. Pick a package or walk awayStarter, Pro or Agency, one-time price. If it is not right, you owe nothing.
  4. Maurice writes and builds itEvery page written by hand, then launched on your domain, usually in 7 to 14 days for Starter.

Each step in detail

  1. You ask for the demoGo to the demo page, type in your business name and what you do, and a preview site is built for your business. If you would rather talk, call (903) 636-7511. The AI receptionist answers any hour, and if you ask about a website preview it transfers you to Maurice.
  2. You look at it where your customers willOpen the link on your phone, because that is where most of your customers will see the real thing. Show it to whoever you trust. Note what feels wrong. A demo is a starting point, and its job is to show you the direction before money changes hands.
  3. You pick a package, or you do notStarter is $497, Pro is $997 and Agency is $1,997, all one time. The buttons on the pricing page go to secure Stripe checkout. If none of it is right, you owe nothing and nobody will chase you.
  4. You send the detailsFill in the client intake form. It asks for everything Maurice needs to write your pages, so there is not a week of back-and-forth emails. The list of what to have ready is below.
  5. Maurice writes and builds every pageEach page is written by hand for your business and your towns. On Pro, each of the 10 city pages starts with research into that town. On Agency, the work starts with keyword research across your whole service area, which decides the page list.
  6. You review and approveYou get a link to the working site before launch. Read every page. If a service is described wrong or a town is missing, say so and it gets fixed.
  7. LaunchThe site goes live on your domain. Page titles, descriptions and the sitemap are submitted to Google. On Pro and Agency the schema markup and Google Business Profile setup are done as part of launch.

What Maurice needs from you

The intake form collects most of this. Having it ready before you start is the single biggest thing you can do to speed up the web design process.

  • Business name, phone, email and hours, exactly as you want them shown
  • Every service you offer, in the words your customers use for it
  • The towns you serve, starting with the ones that matter most
  • Real photos of your work, your team or your shop, if you have them (phone photos are fine)
  • Your logo, if you have one
  • Your Facebook and Instagram links
  • Where your domain is registered, if you already own one
  • Anything a customer always asks you on the phone

No photos? That is common. Maurice will tell you exactly what to shoot with your phone, and real pictures of your own work are worth more than stock images.

Timelines, stated plainly

PackageTimeline
Free demoAbout a minute to generate
Starter, $497Live in 7 to 14 days
Pro, $997Agreed with you when you order
Agency, $1,997Delivered in waves, the first pages live inside two weeks

Those timelines assume your details arrive promptly. Waiting on photos, approvals or domain access moves the date, and that is said up front rather than discovered later.

What happens after launch

The site is yours

You own it outright. You are not renting pages that disappear if you stop paying a monthly bill.

Upkeep

Hosting, maintenance and updates are included while you keep the AI agent. Without the agent they are $49 a month.

Changes without a ticket system

Prices change, hours change, you add a service. While your upkeep is active (included with the AI agent, or $49 a month), you send a message and it gets done.

Search takes its own time

Submitting a sitemap tells Google your pages exist, but Google itself calls a sitemap a hint and decides when to crawl. Nobody can promise a ranking or a date, and we do not.

Questions before you start?

Read the web design questions page, see how city pages work, or go to the contact page. Or skip all of it and ask for the demo, which answers most questions on its own.

About the phone line: (903) 636-7511 is answered any hour by an AI receptionist. Ask about a website preview, or ask for Maurice or a person, and it transfers you to Maurice.

Common questions

What are the steps in the web design process?

Here it is five steps: ask for a free demo, look at it, choose a package (or walk away), send Maurice your details through the intake form, and approve the pages before launch. After launch the site is yours, and changes are handled by message.

How long does it take to build a website for a small business?

The Starter site goes live in 7 to 14 days. On Agency, pages arrive in waves, with the first ones live inside two weeks. The biggest cause of delay is waiting on photos, hours and service details, so having those ready keeps things moving.

What do I need to give a web designer before they start?

Your business name, phone, email and hours, the services you offer in the words your customers use, the towns you serve, a few real photos if you have them, and where your domain is registered if you already own one. The client intake form asks for these in one place.

What happens after my website goes live?

You own the site. Hosting, maintenance and updates are included while you keep the AI agent, or $49 a month without it. While upkeep is active, when prices, hours or services change, you send a message and the change gets made. There is no ticket system.

Do I have to pay before I see my website?

No. The demo comes first and costs nothing. You pay only if you decide to go ahead with a package.

Step one takes about a minute

Give us your business name and what you do, and a demo site gets built for you to look at on your own phone. If you like it, pick a package. If you do not, you have spent nothing but the minute it took to look.

  • Demo first, invoice secondThe free demo comes before any payment, and there is no obligation to buy.
  • Prices on the page$497, $997 or $1,997 one time. You own the site outright.
  • Phone answered any hourAn AI receptionist picks up (903) 636-7511 and can transfer you to Maurice.
