Web design in San Marcos, Texas

We build your website first. You look at it on your own business, with your own photos and words, and decide after that. From $497 one time, and the site is yours to keep.

Three customer bases, and none of them stay

San Marcos is an unusual commercial town because almost nobody buying from you lives there permanently. There is the university population, which turns over continuously. There are river visitors, who come for a day. And there is Interstate 35 traffic between Austin and San Antonio, which stops only if something makes it worth stopping.

Every one of those groups shares a trait: they have no local knowledge and no neighbor to ask. A student in their first month, a family driving down for the afternoon, a traveller deciding whether to pull off the highway — all of them are searching, and whatever they find is what they choose.

That makes San Marcos one of the few towns where a website is not a supplement to word of mouth. There is not enough continuity in the population for word of mouth to accumulate in the ordinary way.

The corridor is filling in around you

The I-35 stretch between Austin and San Antonio has become one of the most rapidly developing economic corridors in the United States — former empty land turned into retail centers, hospitality and housing, running continuously through Kyle, San Marcos and New Braunfels. A large Buc-ee's travel center development has been part of that in San Marcos.

National operators arriving on a highway corridor come with signage, budgets and brand recognition. A local business cannot match that on spend. What it can do is be the result that comes up when somebody searches for the specific thing it does — which costs a fraction as much and works better for anyone who was looking for something particular rather than something convenient.

Every September, your customers are replaced

The university calendar is the single most useful thing to plan a small business's marketing around here, and most owners treat it as weather rather than as a schedule. A large cohort arrives each autumn knowing nothing about the town — where to eat, who cuts hair, who fixes a laptop, where to get a tire changed.

They will search for all of it in their first fortnight and then mostly keep whatever they found. Being findable in August and September is therefore worth more than being findable in February, and a site that ranks by mid-summer is capturing a year's worth of habit formation.

The practical version: get the site and the Google profile right in spring, not in October.

We are not in San Marcos, and it does not matter

Dominion Web Design Pro is in East Texas. Nobody has to be standing in your city to build a website. What a good one needs is somebody who knows how to build it and somebody who knows the business — we bring the first, you bring the second.

Every site we build belongs to the client: the domain is registered in your name and the files are yours. And you see the finished thing before paying, which matters in a seasonal town where the money arrives unevenly.

What we would tell you not to buy is a two hundred page location build. We did that on our own sites — 348 generated pages, two indexed.

What it costs

$497Five page website. One time. The site is yours to keep.
$997Ten pages plus ten city pages.
$1,997Unlimited pages with a full city-page build.

One-time prices, not subscriptions, and no setup fee. Hosting and maintenance afterwards are $49 a month with no minimum term. Search setup is included in the build rather than sold separately.

If you want the AI agent that answers your phone when you cannot, it is free for fourteen days and then $297 a month with hosting, maintenance and updates included. Recurring services carry a three-month minimum starting after the free trial, and paying a year up front costs ten months instead of twelve.

We build the site before you pay anything. You see it finished, on your own business, with your own photos, and then you decide. If you do not want it, that is the end of it and you owe nothing.

Questions worth asking

When should I have the site ready?

Before the university intake, not after. A large cohort arrives each autumn, searches for everything in their first fortnight, and mostly keeps what they found.

Does it matter that you are not in San Marcos?

For building a website, no. Where location would matter is a full brand program with people in the room for weeks, which is a different service.

How do I compete with the chains on the interstate?

Not on spend. On being the specific answer to a specific search, which is much cheaper and works better for anyone not just looking for convenience.

Do I own the website?

Yes. The domain is registered in your name and the files are yours.
