Good web design in Midland, TX has a job most towns never ask of it: keeping up with the Permian Basin. When oil climbs, crews are hard to find, rents rise and the dinner rush runs late. When it falls, the same owners trim hours, chase new kinds of work and need their customers to know it right away. A site that takes a month and a developer to edit is a liability here.
Dominion Web Design Pro is Maurice Johnson, a Texan who writes every page by hand from Big Sandy in East Texas. You see a free demo built for your business first, then decide. The prices are fixed and paid once: $497, $997 or $1,997.
A town that moves with the barrel
Midland's economy leans hard on oil, and its small businesses ride the cycle closely. The Dallas Fed's report for mid-2024 is a good recent picture: Permian oil output hit a record 6.2 million barrels a day in the second quarter, yet the region ran 36 fewer oil rigs than a year earlier (310 in June against 346) and nonfarm jobs shrank at a 1.4% annual rate through June. Record production and fewer jobs can happen at the same time, and that gap lands on the payrolls, lunch counters and apartment complexes around town.
Older swings were sharper. In the 2015 slump, a New York Times report from Midland found a Mexican restaurant adding Sunday brunch to widen its sales and a car dealer shifting toward repairs and used cars. In 2020 a price war and the pandemic hit together, a pairing CBS News called a double whammy for the city. Owners here learn to adjust their offer quickly; the website has to adjust with them.

Five edits a Midland site should handle in an afternoon
Think of these as the switches on the wall. Each one should be a quick message to Maurice, not a rebuild.
- Hiring on, hiring offA short careers section with the roles you need, the pay range if you want to show it and a simple way to apply. In a tight labor market it may be the most visited page you have. When the market loosens, it comes down without leaving a dead link.
- Hours that match realityShort-staffed weeks, a closed Monday, a later opening. The site and your Google Business Profile should change together so nobody drives across Loop 250 to a locked door.
- A service you are pausing or addingSlower months often mean new kinds of work: residential jobs for a commercial contractor, catering for a restaurant, mobile service for a shop. Each deserves a clear paragraph, not a line buried on the home page.
- A plain notice at the topOne line for a holiday closure, a move, a weather delay or a waitlist. Visitors see it before anything else.
- Prices or minimumsIf you publish them, they should move when your costs move. If you do not, the site should say how to get a quote and how soon you answer.
Where Midland customers come from
Shoppers and diners concentrate along Loop 250, especially the stretch between Midland Drive and Garfield Street, where restaurants and shopping centers line the road and Midland Park Mall sits off the Midkiff Road exit. Office workers fill downtown during the week. Then there is the airport: Midland International Air and Space Port is owned by the City of Midland and sits inside city limits about halfway between downtown Midland and downtown Odessa. In 2014 the FAA licensed it for commercial spaceflight, the first primary commercial service airport in the country to receive that license, according to the airport.
That geography matters for search. Google says local results depend on relevance, distance and prominence. A business near the airport may serve both cities; a clinic downtown may draw mostly from its own side of town. Your pages should say plainly where you are and how far you go, so Google and the customer reach the same answer. If you also cover Odessa, our Odessa page shows how that city's businesses differ.

Web design Midland TX owners can afford in a slow year
When cash is tight, a recurring agency fee is usually the first thing an owner wants to cut, and the website disappears with it. We set things up the other way. The build is a one-time payment and you own the finished site outright.
| Package | One-time price | Good fit in Midland |
|---|---|---|
| Starter | $497 | A five-page site (home, services, about, contact, service area) for a shop, salon, food business or small crew. Live in 7 to 14 days. |
| Pro | $997 | Ten pages with a photo gallery, local SEO and Google Business Profile setup, ten researched city pages and your Google reviews shown on the site. Its AI chat widget is free for 14 days, then $297 a month if you keep it. |
| Agency | $1,997 | Keyword research across the Basin, a page for each town and service worth having, custom design, pages delivered in waves with the first live inside two weeks. Includes AI phone agent setup; the agent is free for 7 days, then $297 a month for up to 750 minutes, cancel any time. |
Hosting, maintenance and updates cost $49 a month, and they are included while you keep an AI agent. We do not sell page counts. A dozen pages that answer real questions beat fifty thin ones written to pad a quote. A service company that sends crews to several counties may want Agency; a single storefront rarely needs more than Starter.
